Daniel Cosentino (b. 1974, New Jersey, USA) is a multimedia artist and educator whose work spans photography, sculpture, and mixed media. Cosentino holds a BA in Philosophy from Rutgers University, a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Studio Arts from Studio Arts Center International in Florence, Italy, and an MFA in Imaging Arts/Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. His early career included roles as General Manager at Jackson Hole Custom Color Lab and Museum Preparator at the George Eastman Museum. From 2010 to 2020, he was based in Europe with RIT’s global programs, where he taught photography and media arts and served in leadership roles such as Director for Media Programs and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Cosentino’s accomplishments include a Provost’s Learning and Innovation Grant, a Soros Foundation grant, and collaborations on multiple National Endowment for the Arts grants. His work has been featured in numerous prestigious juried exhibitions, including the New Jersey Arts Annual (two-time inclusion), The Royal Photographic Society International Photography Exhibition (finalist), the Academy Art Museum, and the Herron School of Art and Design, among others.
Currently based in his home state of New Jersey, Cosentino continues to exhibit internationally and develop site-specific works that explore the intersections of natural and constructed environments. He remains deeply committed to education and community engagement, fostering creative dialogue and innovation through teaching, mentorship, and collaboration.

I search for purpose in making, exploring latent communications and the tension between intended messages and hidden symbols. Rooted in personal experiences—loss, memory, and connection to the environment—my work spans various mediums, though photographic discourses remain central to my practice.
