A Curated Portfolio of Conceptual and Visual Projects

Welcome to Cosentinoworks, the studio site of multimedia artist and educator Daniel Cosentino. His work spans photography, sculpture, land art, and installation, shaped by a career in teaching and exhibiting across academic and public settings. Projects include Totem Domum, a gilded tree remnant marking a threshold between nature and suburbia, photographed with a 4×5 Linhof and exhibited in museums and galleries, and 1108 from the Hands Series, created using palladium printing, intaglio ink, and precious metal leaf. His broader portfolio includes typographic abstractions in the Letter Series, early explorations of place and form in the Italy/Studio gallery, and time-based works in the Multimedia section. Cosentino also delivers lectures on the history and future of photography, offering programs for universities, libraries, and cultural institutions. This website is built and maintained by the artist, who also provides web design and other creative services. His recent writing appears in Latent Views and Equine Magistrate. Artwork and services are also available at shop.cosentinoworks.com.

Welcome to Cosentinoworks, my online portfolio and evolving studio archive. I’m Daniel Cosentino, a New Jersey-based multimedia artist, conceptual artist, educator, and writer. My practice spans photography, sculpture, installation, land art, and video performance, grounded in a deep interest in memory, identity, place, and perception. I work across both traditional and emerging methods, including 3D printing, darkroom photography, and ink on canvas, to explore latent communication and symbolic meaning in personal and public spaces.

Many of the works featured here—like Standing Box, Totem Domum, the Hands Series, and the Letter Series—reflect a sustained inquiry into hidden structures and visual language. My background in philosophy and visual arts education informs my approach to making and teaching. I’ve taught and lectured internationally on art, conceptual process, and community-based design. I also write regularly through two ongoing editorial platforms, Latent Views and Equine Magistrate, where I reflect on contemporary art, culture, and creative practice.

This site includes eight core galleries, each offering a focused look at different strands of my work. From the typographic anatomy of the Bones sculptures to the quiet intimacy of Pieces of Me, Pieces of You, each section investigates how form and material reveal deeper layers of experience. I continue to update and expand the site with new images, selections, and documentation as the work evolves.

Based in Morristown, New Jersey, I maintain an active studio practice and offer web design, creative consultation, and public lectures. Please explore the site and reach out with inquiries. I hope it offers insight into how conceptual visual art and multimedia processes can make the invisible more visible.
